You can obtain counseling and support services at a battered woman's shelter or mental health center in the city or county of your residence. The can set you up with a number of support networks. If the crime is already filed, you should obtain services through the prosecutor's victim's advocate's office.

Is being arrested and incarcerated without being given an initial hearing, grounds for a lawsuit?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Mark L. Smith (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Offices of Mark L. Smith
Arrested and incarcerated without an initial hearing? If you are arrested you are arraigned within 24 hours unless on a weekend and then bail is set or you are entitled to a abil hearing. I have never heard of a person being held for 23 days without a hearing. Something is wrong here.
