Can I charge my wife with theft if she sold something of mine without my permission?

Cynthia Russell Henley

Not likely the police would accept charges unless you were already separated at the time. And, if it was acquired during the marriage (but not as a gift to you), then it is community property and she had as much legal right to it as you do.

Fraud

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Kenneth G. Wincorn & Associates, P.C.
A promissory note is a promise to pay that sets out the total amount that you agree is owing and the dates by which you will pay. The reason for the notes is probably that this eliminates confusion over how much you owe. If you do not pay it will be easier to get a judgment against you. Talk to your attorney about the situation. It is not proper for me to give you legal advice if you are represented.

How can I get a copy of a restraining order in Wisconsin?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
It's public record. Call the court clerk up there and request a copy. Or call a local courier up there to go get it for you.
