Can you get a job with a felony?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Depends on the job and the employer, but lots of places hire felons. And yes it is on your record if you plead guilty.

Can my attorney charge me extra if I got a deferred adjudicated probation?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
That is very cheap, so I don't think he'd come after you. Really it's up to you. The case is done. But if you agreed to pay him, then pay him. Deferred is still a great result. No one can guarantee a dismissal. Makes me wonder about the quality of your attorney though, charging $100 and promising dismissals.

How can I find out if there is a warrant out for me?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
Tell the sheriff at your local jail you are there to turn yourself in. If they take you there is a warrant. If no, then there is no warrant. But they will not tell you on the phone.
