What would happen if I get caught with marijuana in school and I’m a minor?

Answered by attorney Patrick Owen Earl
Criminal Law lawyer at Patrick O. Earl
You need to get an attorney for sure. You could lose your license and/or be suspended. You could get detention time. You could get community service. You could have a criminal record which will hound you for a very long time. If there is evidence of you selling it or giving it to another that is distribution or selling a drug and that could be a felony. A felony is HUGE. Get an attorney.

What exactly is lying to police and when can someone be charged with lying to police? can police refuse statements from me?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn

The police will rarely take a statement from a defendant in the same case. Your remedy is appropriate is to sue after you are cleared of the charges. It makes no difference if the compliant is a former friend or enemy.

What is the maximum you can get for attempted robbery, attempted larceny, threatening, having a dangerous weapon?

Robbery is a 2nd degree felony under the current Texas Penal Code and carries a punishment range of 2-20 years. Attempted Robbery is a 3rd degree felony and has a punishment range of 2-10 years. The other offenses described in the question are too vague for ascertaining the potential punishment range, but they would probably be less severe than Robbery.
