What can i do if i was convicted of a crime that i did not do

Answered by attorney Patrick Short
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Firm of Patrick Short
Enrique, You should consult with an attorney who does 11.07 Writs to see if you might have a claim.  Given the nature of the case that you pleaded to, that might be the best way for you to seek relief.  You should understand that your situation is much more complicated than time permits here.  Obtain a certified copy of your court file from the District Court in the county that your case arose out of and once you get a certified copy of the court's file, you should have an attorney review it. Also, be aware that it would be better to have a phone discussion with an attorney than putting out all of the facts regarding your case on the internet as there could be issues of confidentiality that you might waive. I hope this helps you in your situation. Patrick Short

If i was on probation and i ran what do u think the chances of getting off of probation if i turn myself in

M. Irene Wilson
Answered by attorney M. Irene Wilson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at M. Irene Wilson, Attorney at Law
The outcome depends on the tolerance of the judge.  The judge can reinstate probation after the person serves some days in jail as jail therapy or completed drug treatment if this is an issue.  Getting your fees caught up helps your case.   If you need treatment, now is the time to ask for it.  If you are revoked, you will be off probation and incarcerated.  Good luck.

How can I help a family member who has been charged with a crime?

Answered by attorney Seth David Schraier
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Seth D. Schraier, P.C.
The best way you can help your father is by helping him find a good criminal defense attorney to represent him in this matter. As much as you want to help your father, it is best that you let an attorney figure out how best to serve your father and what kind of defense to present in court.
