It is up to the PO up until you disagree (in other words, if they decline to move the probation). Then you can (through your son's lawyer) request a modification hearing to modify and transfer the probation.

What can be done depends on the county. Generally your bond isn't forfeited because your lawyer does not show up for court but because YOU do not show up for court. You can always make a new bond. And, you can hire a new lawyer.
