What documents do I need to prove that my background should be clear after seven years?

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson
Criminal Law lawyer at Diana L. Anderson
I believe it doesn't matter for a back ground check.  If you were ever arrested, or charged with a crime, it will still appear on your record.  Whether or not the place doing the ckeck will be concerned depends on how long of a check they do and how careful they are.  It is always better to say "yes" and give the explanation than to have been found to have not been truthful on the application.

Can an airport authority pass and enforce ordinances?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
They cannot pass any laws or local ordinances. Only legislatures can do that. However, as a governmental group, the TSA can make and enforce certain rules and regulations regarding airport security and procedures or the federal Congress can pass laws mandating that as a federal organization they have to do certain things regarding their procedures. The federal government has sole control over public airports and air travel so they get to set the rules regarding the regulations of flying and airports.

What is the punishment for a minor distributing a controlled substance on school grounds?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
Depends on the substance - MJ distributed without payment of any kind might just be possession, anything else and it is distribution regardless of payment school grounds is an aggravator the pipe possession is very minor if this stays in juvy court, the sentence can be very light, like probation if this goes to adult court, it can be very serious including prison.
