What can I do to protect my daughter?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen

Go talk to the church and let them know you will be pressing charges next time. You have spoken with an attorney. And next time, call the police.

Will a shoplifting ticket remain on my record?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
Because you paid the ticket, it is a final conviction and will remain on your record. Had you obtained a deferred, then you could have gotten it expunged. (This is why when one is charged with a crime, one should seek the advice of counsel before acting in a way that could ruin one's future.)

If I didn't pay my ticket on time, and I show up to make a payment plan, will they arrest me?

I know of no court that would arrest you, especially if you make a payment and the judge gives you a payment plan when you come in.
