The prosecutor can change the plea offer and increase the severity of the sentence. In fact, the courts support the increase in the sentence as time passes to encourage plea deals in a timely fashion. We can tell you our approach to avoid the the increased sentence. Ed Dimon 732-797-1600

I have been accused of a car jacking involving a co defendent that copped out but there is no physical evidence should i take this to trail or accept

car jacking is a very serious charge. your note indicates that the co-defendant will testify against you. will the person in the car also testify against you ? i would have to review the discovery to determine whether you should accept a plea or go to trial. we have a 'certified trial attorney' who has done these trials for 25 years. a trial is very expensive: $35,000. ed dimon, esq. 732-797-1600

If I unknowingly sold alcohol to a minor can I be charged or will my employer be charged?

You raise some interesting issues regarding the ID; but to answer your question: yes, you could be charged. Your employer will probably be fined. You should consult with an attorney who can best review the particular fact of your case.
