When settling tickets or warrants is it cheaper to have an attorney take care of it or just do it yourself?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
You can just go in yourself and ask for deferred adjudication probation. And if they won't give it to you then set it for jury trial and hire an attorney. That's what I do and I'm a lawyer.

How can I stop someone from accusing my daughter of breaking and entering?

Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
I would have your daughter consult with an attorney. If there is any merit to the allegations and they result in charges being filed, depending upon your daughter's age, the penalties could be substantial. Talk with an attorney!

Is it legitimate to miss court hearing because of medical reasons?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Yes, but when you get out, you need to bring medical proof to that Court so they don't issue a warrant for your arrest.
