What will happen if I did not pay my fines or go to my court date?

Answered by attorney Matthew G McHenry
Criminal Law lawyer at Levine & McHenry LLC
You should contact an attorney immediately. It is likely that if you missed your court date, a warrant will be issued. You may be able to arrange for the warrant to be lifted and to schedule a new appearance.

Will my record show my Class 3 Felony?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
You are a convicted felon and it will be on your record forever. I don't know about nursing licenses. It will always show up. No way to hide it.

If my boyfriend and I began dating when we are 17, and now he is 18 years old and I am pregnant, could he get in trouble?

Answered by attorney Lucio Antonio Montes (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Montes Law Firm
The age of consent in Texas is 17. As long as your boyfriend was not more than 36 months older than you, the State will not bring a statutory rape charge against your boyfriend. If you were both 17, you have nothing to worry about as far as the rape charge is concerned. Once you turn 18, you are free to go were you please. Your mother will not have any legal authority over you. Good luck.
