Save yourself the money and don't hire this lawyer! If I could give 0 stars I would. Terrible experience. She does not communicate, only wants to charge and does not give any proof she's actually working on the case. Will give you the run around for everything.

Hired Attorney Ms. Dawn Aufenanger

Working with Dawn has turned into a big headache. My husband paid her to start a paternity case for his son, a whole year later, she has been giving us the run-around and not filing the case in court. She received the money from us, she stated the court fees were included and she never did anything with it. I would not recommend working with Dawn. She is full of personal problems, which impede her to fulfill her job as a lawyer. Does not answer our questions/calls until days later. Overall terrible experience.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
