Natalia M. Salas is an associate and commercial litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP where she is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Latin America Practices.
Prior to joining Foley, Ms. Salas was a law clerk for the Honorable James Lawrence King of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida where she assisted the court in civil and criminal docket management, including its multi-district class action litigation proceeding known as In re Checking Account Overdraft Litigation, which included claims against over 30 banks nationwide and contained settlements totaling close to $1 billion dollars.

Education
Ms. Salas earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., 2007), where she was a member of the University of Miami Law Review and the Moot Court Board. Her honors include recipient of the Dean's Merit Scholarship, Litigation Skills Honors, and the CALI (Excellence for the Future) Award. While in law school, Ms. Salas worked as a legal extern in Madrid, Spain for a private practice; Audiencia Provincial de Madrid, 4; the Ministry of Justice; and the Constitutional Tribunal. Her undergraduate degree in public policy and Spanish with a certificate in policy journalism/media studies was conferred, cum laude, from Duke University (B.A., 2004). Ms. Salas also studied abroad as an undergraduate in Florence, Italy.
