I don’t normally write the reviews, but I had to write this one. Hiring petroff to represent me in my an annulment case was the best decision I made. I did not have to stress at all, and everything was done and taken care of within a span of two months. Chae, the associate was really helpful and very prompt when it came to answering any questions. I would definitely and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for legal representation that will actually get things done and keep you in the loop. 10/10 I cannot recommend them enough.
I would NOT recommend to hire Erika and Petroff Law. She was telling me that she is a great lawyer, bulldog who will fight for my interests but right before the hearing she provided me total different promises from what was said during the settement. The day of the hearing she came totally unprepared - no paper (wrote the numbers on the oppossite paper and asked me to talk with the opposite party lawyer myself to convince me to accept bad for me financial result), no notebook. The draft of the divorce decree was made with a lot of grammar mistakes and was taken from the template offered by the opposite party. I spent 5 hours correcting and checking the decree myself and it still came out with a lot of mistakes (even after I asked for corrections) and with a lot of things that are not in the childs' best interest. Financial part of my divorce was totally not in my favor and Erika did nothing to help. Before the settlment I didn't get a lot of emails/docs in time or asked for the same.
I used Petroff for divorce proceedings and he made claims that I would not owe any child support since me and my wife's incomes were so similar. He failed to tell me I would be solely responsible for non-insurance covered medical, extra-curricular activities and college payments. I had to ask him if we could cap the non-insurance covered medical payments to protect me in case one of my children had a serious medical issue so I was not the only one paying out of pocket. He replied, "good idea".
