The Manely Firm, PC is a law firm established in 1993 with an office in Columbus, GA. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing family law, alimony, child custody and 15 other areas of law.
I enjoyed working with the firm. They always are very professional. They look out for the clients best interest for the present and the future. They put safeguards in the court documents to try and reduce legal proceeding.
The firm is professional, attentive, and willing to not only entertain client based initiatives but implement them as well. As an educated professional I took a liking to being able to have my case handled the way my family needed and not how "everyone else" has their case handled by some other firm looking to turn and churn.

Paralegals and Attorneys are excellent. Paralegals are very knowledgeable. Paralegal knowledge base and involvement on the case keeps cost streamlined. Attorney- John Smith was excellent and Partner- Michael Manely was excellent. They listened to all the facts in my case and listened and understood my needs as a client. I thought the team we worked with was very capable and professional in handling a difficult adoption process with the hoops that had to be jumped through. Only frustration we had was that we were told that the adoption could be handled within a 3-month window, instead, it took nearly 10 months to complete. Hopefully, the associates and the firm have learned a considerable amount about adoption requirements for children with Native American heritage and can streamline future cases.
I feel that I was overcharged for my divorce. It was a very simple divorce that didn't involve any child custody issues or assets. It was resolved in approximately 2 months and cost me, including the mediator, approximately $5000. I felt that was more than I should have paid for such a simple divorce.
Future clients beware! This is my personal experience with Attorney Kourtney and Associate Attorney Ervon and from reading reviews I see that I'm not the only one who ended up in this situation. Ervon did a great job stepping in and was instrumental in providing clarity but as a team - very subpar representation. I felt in the dark, no control or direction as the case progressed. I received very little counsel and strategy advice. I resorted to YouTube, Amazon books, and google to figure out what was happening in my case. My voice and interests were not being represented - on the contrary they made attempts to convince me to settle to terms that did not make sense and against my interest. I felt that my legal team was advocating and representing the opposing side at times. I spent close to $18,000 with them and to have these issues is revolting and nauseating. They do not explain things clearly and resort to legal gibberish to confuse you.
