As a GAL, his job was to look after the best interests of the children, one boy and one girl, but his focus seemed to be on keeping a certain divorce lawyer happy, the more expensive divorce lawyer. Divorce court is big business in Colorado Springs and it is my deepest belief that this lawyer was more concerned with "making connections" rather than focusing on the best interest of our children. In fact, our daughter wasn't even addressed only our son (same parents). I am sad to see that he is still practicing law as I was involved in a custody case many years ago. But, now I see that he not only works with children but also works with the elderly-so scary. I worked as a nurse my entire life and children and the elderly are vulnerable populations that need special protection. I would not recommend Marty Plassmeyer. But unfortunately he was assigned to our case by the court system. I would love to leave my full name and details here but am not permitted to.
