About Joseph Carter Maher

Joseph ("Joe") Maher is a Colorado Springs DUI and criminal defense attorney and founding partner of Maher & Maher Law PC. A former El Paso County prosecutor who served on the Vehicular Homicide team, Joe has tried more than 70 jury trials as both a prosecutor and defense lawyer. He is one of only four attorneys in Colorado to earn the ACS-CHAL Forensic Lawyer-Scientist designation, reflecting advanced training in DUI blood and breath testing science, and he has completed SFST, SFST Instructor, and ARIDE courses-the same training used to prepare DUI officers. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database.
