Katherine E. Merck is an accomplished attorney at Cusack Linscott Merck Law Firm, PLLC. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2012 with a double major in finance and medieval studies, and earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Gonzaga University School of Law. Katherine focused her legal studies on tax law, estate planning, and environmental law, and was actively involved in the Federal Tax Law Clinic. Passionate about the outdoors, she co-founded the Gonzaga Rod & Gun Club and enjoys fly fishing, skiing, hiking, and horseback riding in her free time. After making history as the first Washingtonian to win the Miss Rodeo America title in 2016, Katherine began her legal career in Coeur d’Alene. She has experience as a public defender and in representing clients in natural resources and property rights law, in addition to estate and tax planning. Katherine is furthering her legal acumen through an LL.M. in Taxation at Georgetown University Law Center, enabling her to provide exceptional service in estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters throughout North Idaho.
