We discovered that my father's Durable Power of Attorney wasn't valid. He had had it done in another state over 13 years ago, and it had been done incorrectly. My father was 89 and we needed a new one. With this Pandemic, I refused to take my father anywhere. I contacted a number of law firms, but none were willing to come to my house....UNTIL I contacted Hickman and Lowder. David Banas returned my call. He was very patient, understanding, and easy to talk to. I explained what was going on (my dad had Dementia which could make things difficult...most of the time he understood what was going on, but sometimes not.), and that we needed this done as soon as possible. He agreed to come to the home, talk to my dad, and go from there. Fortunately, my father was "all there" the day David Banas came to see him. They discussed what my father wanted done (thought he'd had it done all those years ago). Mr. Banas completed the work. My dad said Mr. Banas is a very bright, intelligent young man.
