She was also actively involved in student organizations, including serving as Vice President of Patent Law for UCincyIP and Treasurer of Adventure JDs.
She earned her undergraduate degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her engineering background gives her a detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset that she now applies to helping clients navigate bankruptcy and financial challenges.
Before becoming an attorney, Emmaline gained extensive legal experience in the Cincinnati area. As a law clerk with Cummins Law LLC, she conducted legal research, drafted memoranda, and performed document review. She also worked as a legal intern with the University of Cincinnati Patent & Trademark Clinic, where she drafted provisional patent applications, conducted prior art searches, and met directly with clients to understand and protect their ideas.
Her additional legal experience includes working with the University of Cincinnati Office of Innovation, where she evaluated the commercial viability of inventions and drafted patent claims, as well as serving as a research assistant focusing on tort law, informed consent, and emerging legal issues involving artificial intelligence. She also served as a summer law clerk for Judge Molloy in Kenton Circuit Court, gaining valuable insight into both civil and criminal proceedings in the Northern Kentucky region.
Prior to her legal career, Emmaline worked in engineering and industry, where she managed projects, conducted technical analysis, and worked with clients in complex environments. This background allows her to break down complicated legal and financial concepts into clear, practical guidance for her clients.
