Mr. Dixler limits his practice to immigration, visa law, citizenship and related matters since 1993. He has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Chicago Chapter, since 1993. Mr. Dixler is Martindale Hubbell AV Rated and was named a Thomson Reuters Super Lawyer in immigration for the last nine consecutive years. Many are marriage-based and family immigration clients. However, he is experienced in all aspects of immigration and visa law, with exceptional insight on cancellation of removal and waiver work.
Mr. Dixler represents those in Immigration Court facing asylum referrals, criminal deportation and challenging family visa matters, among other issues. Criminal attorneys contact him about the immigration consequences of a criminal record to their foreign clients. He has significant experience with waivers of inadmissibility for crime, misrepresentation, smuggling, and unlawful presence, among other bars. He also serves as a speaker and writes for AILA. Mr. Dixler successfully defends clients in the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Federal Courts. He has filed successful lawsuits against the U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Service in Federal Court to challenging unreasonable delays with adjudication, mistakes interpreting law, naturalizations and name checks. He is also functionally bilingual in Spanish. Mr. Dixler is a Native Chicagoan, who is originally from the Central Rogers Park neighborhood.
