David J. Schwartz is a partner in the Corporate, Finance, Securities Law Practice Groups. Mr. Schwartz concentrates his practice primarily in mergers and acquisitions, federal and state securities matters (including investment adviser, commodity trading adviser and broker-dealer representation), debt and equity offerings, commercial financing (both borrower and lender representation) and other general business matters.
Mr. Schwartz was born in Warsaw, Indiana, and attended Liberty University (B.S., magna cum laude, 1995) and the University of Dayton School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 1998), where he served as an Associate Editor of The University of Dayton Law Review, authoring "Campaign Finance Reform: Limits on Out-of-State Contributions and the Question of Unconstitutional Conditions," 23 U. Dayton L. Rev. 87 (1997). Upon graduation from law school, and prior to joining PFS, Mr. Schwartz was an associate at Chernesky, Heyman & Kress in Dayton , Ohio in its corporate group. He was admitted to the Ohio (1998) and Illinois (2000) State Bars.
