Hired Attorney

Anne is the fourth lawyer I've retained, and she is by far the best. She has a wealth of experience, and somehow manages to be professional and personable and actually compassionate--a rare human! I was deeply upset and going through a very rough time when I found Anne, and she not only expertly took care of my legal issues but was encouraging and supportive. Her communication is top notch--I'm the sort that needs to know everything that's going on and she always took time to explain things to me so that I understood them. Her fees are standard and quite reasonable. She's also LGBTQ-informed and friendly, which was a pleasant surprise for me.

Working with the lawyer was a horrible experience. I paid an upfront fee to retain but had to consistently reach out for updates regarding an agreement. After a year I was no closer to resolving my case than from day one when I retained Anne. She kept promising to get better a communication, stated my case was a priority. Each week became an excuse or promise failed related to my case. Eventually, she clock out! I tried to sever ties and asked for an update before letting her go and still got nothing. I had to start all over; seeking new counsel! I regret retaining her and letting her string my case along for a year with promising to help and share updates. I was very patient with her and extremely understanding but feel she never intended to resolve this matter. She asked for 2 retainer fees; to start and another to draft an agreement...When her "word" was no longer valuable I asked for the 2nd retainer fee back as she did nothing to move my case forward.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
