About Basnight Kinser Leftwich & Nuckolls PC

Basnight, Kinser, Leftwich & Nuckolls, P.C. is a Virginia Professional Law Corporation and is authorized to render legal services to the public in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is owned by shareholders who are all licensed to practice law in Virginia and who are also active members of the community serving on local boards and with community associations and groups. Our offices are conveniently located off of Cedar Road in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake, close to the Court complex and City Hall. The law firm was originally chartered by the Virginia State Corporation Commission on April 27, 1979, and came into existence through the joining together of two smaller firms, one of which was headed by Cassell D. Basnight, who had been practicing law in Chesapeake, Virginia since 1962 and the other by Frederick H. Creekmore, who started practicing law in 1963. We are one of the oldest law firms originating in the City of Chesapeake. Our attorneys are dedicated to representing our client’s best interests, with an emphasis on providing quality legal services at a reasonable cost. Our attorneys have extensive expertise representing families and individuals, as well as governmental entities and businesses of all sizes. We have built long-term relationships with many of our clients over the years and are committed to giving back to our community.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database.
