Had a consultation with Alaina Prevatte where she understood that I was already currently divorced (and have been since 2021, they did NOT represent me) and just looking to file for child support since I've never recieved it. I told her specifically that I didn't want an attorney who wasted my time. After I paid my $5,000 retainer in April 2025 it was crickets. After 2 weeks I emailed saying ummmm, next steps??? The next day she wrote me telling me that it was on her to do list to do a motion and that I'd have it by end of week. I didn't have it by then. She e-mailed a draft on 04/30. She told me she couldn't finalize motion until she got my original SC order, which was identical to our NC order that she already had possession of. Then she set up a drop box for me to deposit information into. I deposited it and again two weeks later reached out to ask them whats up. She never responded and 4 days later I followed up, then emailed Jon Knode & Kate Rech. Then charged me a true retainer
