About Ashley Oldfield

Ashley Oldfield is an associate who practices in the firm’s civil litigation and bankruptcy groups. She is admitted to practice in all of the state and federal courts in North Carolina and in state court in South Carolina.

Ashley is passionate about achieving the best results for her clients. Her litigation practice encompasses a variety of matters, including litigation relating to shareholder and member disputes, trade secrets, fiduciary duties, unfair trade practices, commercial lease disputes, and homeowners’ associations. She has argued numerous motions, served as counsel in multiple jury trials, and has successfully defended a number of appeals in state and federal court. In her bankruptcy practice, Ashley helps clients find the best path forward when their business is in crisis, whether that involves creditor negotiations or a Chapter 11 filing, including under Subchapter V.

Ashley is also committed to giving back to the community. She maintains a pro bono practice volunteering with Legal Aid and the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy and is actively involved in her local and state bar associations.

Prior to attending law school, Ashley taught high school English and worked in the accounting department of a law firm. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, running, and growing lots of vegetables.
