First time DUI offender with otherwise clean background, no legal experience, not even a traffic ticket in 27 years of driving. Ed was very helpful and explained things so I could understand them. I was satisfied with the outcome of the negotiated plea.
Edwin is either incompetent, or crooked. His “best” he could do for me on a first time offense was 5 years. I got another lawyer and I received probation. Stay away from this man. I think all his time goes into the superhero shirts he wears to court.
Do not hire Scott Dempsey if you have any hope of finishing your case with a lawyer. Up until the trial was over he was great. Since the end of trial I havent heard so much as boo from him and he has missed multiple deadlines set by the judge. I went to the office to track him down and he promised to file closing arguments. He blatantly lied to my face. Now we are back to not returning calls, emails, texts, etc. However, the receptionist, Sadie, she has the patience of a saint!
