Crystal Cortez serves as an associate attorney in the Sacramento office of Wilner & O’Reilly, APLC, bringing a wealth of legal expertise and a personal understanding of the challenges within the immigration system. Ms. Cortez obtained her Juris Doctorate from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and is admitted to the Georgia Bar, enabling her to practice immigration law across the United States. Her professional focus encompasses family-based immigration cases and removal defense in immigration court.
Growing up as the child of immigrant parents, Ms. Cortez witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by non-English speakers navigating the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. This personal experience has uniquely positioned her to empathize with her clients and guide them through the intricacies of the legal process.
Before joining Wilner & O’Reilly, Ms. Cortez gained valuable experience at several small law firms in Georgia, primarily practicing immigration law. Her return to California marked a continued commitment to serving clients in the immigration field.
Outside the legal realm, Crystal dedicates her free time to her passions. She enjoys traveling and cherishes moments spent with her husband and children. In addition, she finds joy in cooking and playing the piano, demonstrating a well-rounded approach to both her professional and personal life.
