About James P. Kamerer

Prior to joining the firm's Estate and Trust Practice Group, Jim spent over 20 years as a Bank Trust Department Executive. Jim brings to the firm extensive experience in trust and estate matters. As Chair of the Estates and Trusts Practice Group, he concentrates his activities in the areas of estate planning, probate activity, trust administration, and charitable endowment planning. He is among a select group of Ohio attorneys who is a certified specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate by the Ohio State Bar Association. Jim was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2010-2013 and has been recognized as an Ohio Super Lawyer for six years through 2013 in the area of Estate Planning and Probate.

Jim is a member of the Stark County and the Ohio State Bar Association. He is an active member of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the Board of Governors of the State Bar Association. He is Chairman of the Scholarship Committee of the Stark County Bar Association, and is a member of the Stark County Bar Association Probate and Estate Planning Committee, as well as the Elder Law Committee. He is also a member of the Stark County Estate Planning Committee. Jim is involved with a number of local foundations; the Walsh University Planned Giving Advisory Board, the Canton Salvation Army Advisory Board, various boards at his church, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, and other community activities.
