I hired Angela Atwood-Brewka in 2017 to help with my separation and custody case. I came in with high hopes, expecting guidance and strong support. Unfortunately, I left the experience feeling disappointed, confused, and like I had wasted my money. From the start, I told her I had ADHD and had trouble understanding legal language and court discussions. Despite this, I didn’t feel that things were explained clearly. I was often lost during the process and didn’t feel properly supported. I didn’t understand what my rights were or what I could ask for. No one told me that vehicle payments and other expenses might be considered in support calculations. I only found that out years later, long after I had paid off my car. What hurt most was the feeling that she didn’t fight for me. It seemed like she didn’t take me seriously or represent me as strongly as she could have. Honestly, I felt like I wasn’t given the same care or effort because I’m a man. That feeling still stays with me.
