When I was a 19-year-old student at OCADu, Todd Brett White was working as a criminal defense lawyer. At the time, I was looking for part-time work and came across ads he had posted seeking a massage at his home at the "Candy Factory" building in Toronto. When I went to his place, he talked about having met Robin Williams and insisted that I have a few drinks with him before the massage. I felt uncomfortable but, being naive, I went along. That night, he sexually assaulted me by removing the condom and refused to stop when I realized. I left his home not fully understanding what had happened. Later, I texted him asking why he had done what he did. He replied telling me never to contact him again, denied knowing what I was talking about, and then blocked me. It has now been 12 years since that incident. I’ve thought about it from time to time, and when I eventually learned that he had died of cancer, I felt a sense of relief.
