About Justin Kimball

Justin is the Managing Partner of Preszler Injury Lawyers in Nova Scotia.

He grew up in Loch Katrine, Nova Scotia and obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree (with Honours) in Political Science from Acadia University in 1992. He subsequently attended Dalhousie Law School, graduating in 1995.

Justin has practiced law with two large firms in Halifax and developed considerable experience representing clients who suffered various types of serious personal injuries from motor vehicle accidents, use of defective products and hazardous premises. As part of his early work, he advocated for many clients involved in workers’ compensation cases before the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal.

Justin is committed to gaining the trust of his clients while they pursue their claims. He understands that this can be a very difficult and confusing time in their lives. He believes his clients should focus on their recovery while he represents their interests across the table from the insurance company and, when necessary, in court.

Justin prides himself on being a strong negotiator and advocate for his clients while always seeking opportunities to build consensus and resolve disputes practically.

Justin’s experience includes chronic pain and brain injury cases in the context of complex multi-party litigation and ADR proceedings, insurance coverage disputes, uninsured automobile claims, and policy limits issues. Justin also benefits from having acted for a number of large insurance companies over the years, so he is attuned to their unique “defence” perspective, practices and objectives when it comes to dealing with personal injury claims.

He has appeared and represented clients before various courts and tribunals, including the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, the Small Claims Court, and the Provincial Court.

Justin and his family reside in Halifax.
