    Ms. Hogue has played a leading role representing clients in several high-profile cases, including, most recently, the following:

    • representing the Republic of Iraq and Iraqi Airways in a litigation conducted in Quebec, and following a previous litigation instigated in England concerning the former Iraqi regime's actions during the Gulf War
    • representing Hydro-Quebec in its submission to the Regie de l'energie for approval of its initiative to implement smart meters across Quebec
    • representing PricewaterhouseCoopers in the decertification of a class action against the company by investors who were defrauded by Norbourg
    • defending Chaines Tele Astral against a major legal action in which the claimant was alleging the infringement of his copyright on a television production
    • successfully representing Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, and some of its employees and consultants, in the defense of an oppression remedy filed by the directors of a technology company
    • acting for the heiresses Yseult and Sylvie Riopelle in numerous court proceedings over the estate of artist Jean-Paul Riopelle, especially in the presentation of a motion to remove the liquidators of the succession and of a last-minute injunction to prevent the holding of an auction
    • representing Loto-Quebec in a class action initiated by compulsive gamblers against the public corporation, alleging it is responsible for their condition.

    Ms. Hogue has numerous professional and community involvements. She was a lecturer in the Master of Health Law program in the Law Faculty of Universite de Sherbrooke from 1991 to 1995. She also lectured at the Law Faculty of Universite de Montreal from 1991 to 1993, and again from 2000 to 2003, and taught the Representation course at the Quebec Bar School from 2001 to 2012.

    She presents regularly at conferences and teaches trial advocacy skills for the Quebec Bar's trial advocacy seminar, the most important training event offered by the bar. She was a member for several years of the Liaison Committee linking the Bar of Montreal with the Court of Appeal of Quebec; one of seven members representing the Quebec Bar Committee on the Future of the Profession; and a board member of the Young Bar Association of Montreal. She is currently a member of the Quebec Bar Indemnity Fund and a board member of Sports Montreal. She is actively involved in the fundraising campaign committee of L'Arret-Source, a shelter for troubled young women, and is part of the Quebec Bar's Justicia initiative, which aims to address challenges faced by women lawyers in connection with their retention and advancement.

    During her law studies, Ms. Hogue was granted the Canadian Bar Association Scholarship for her academic excellence and community contributions. She also received the Law Faculty of Universite de Sherbrooke's Albert-Leblanc Medal for her exceptional academic work.

    Ms. Hogue obtained her LLB from Universite de Sherbrooke in 1986 and she was called to the Quebec Bar in 1987. From 1988 to 1989, she served as law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada under the Honourable Antonio Lamer. She is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.
