I hired Henderson & Lee Law Corporation to handle my family matter and ended up spending over $80,000 across more than three years. Unfortunately, my experience with this firm — particularly with the lawyer who handled my case — was deeply disappointing. Communication was inconsistent and often delayed. I was repeatedly asked for the same documents and information, and important promises about how my funds with the BCFMA were handled turned out not to be accurate. When I raised legitimate concerns and asked for clarification, I received no meaningful explanation — only general statements defending their actions. Even after escalating my complaint to a senior lawyer at the firm, my issues were brushed aside without addressing the facts I presented. This lack of accountability and transparency left me feeling taken advantage of, both financially and emotionally. After years of stress and wasted resources, I would strongly caution others to think carefully before retaining this firm.
Unfortunately, my experience with Daniel Henderson in his role has been extremely disappointing and concerning. Using his position and influence, he undertook construction of a private balcony paid for with common strata funds without proper approval from the rest of the owners or the strata council. To make matters worse, the construction was completed without permits or authorization from the City of Coquitlam. If you are in doubt, I encourage you to verify this directly with the City by inquiring about permits issued for his unit you’ll find there are none. Several owners, including myself, have raised these serious concerns, but no appropriate action has been taken, and he remains in his position of power.
