Mark Pachowicz was voted Ventura County Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2011 by the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association based on his work on an employment law - retaliation and wrongful termination -case in which his client was awarded over 1.3 million dollars by a jury. In 2012 alone, Mr. Pachowicz obtained judgments totalling over 2 million dollars for his clients while successfully handling personal injury and civil rights cases.
In addition to his civil litigation practice, Mr. Pachowicz also all handles criminal cases. As a Former Senior Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Pachowicz prosecuted all types of cases from driving under the influence to murder cases. Since opening his own practice in 2004, Mr. Pachowicz has used the trial skills he learned as a prosecutor to successfully defend people charged with crimes.
A graduate of the University of San Diego Law School in 1988 Mr. Pachowicz joined the Ventura County District Attorney's office in 1988.
Mr. Pachowicz also worked at Norman, Cormany, Hair and Compton, the largest law firm in Ventura County at the time.
Mr. Pachowicz was a Professor of Law at the Ventura College of Law where he has taught Constitutional Criminal Procedure, Introduction to Law, Advanced Trial Practice, and Legal Analysis at various times. Mr. Pachowicz was named Professor of the Year three times by the Ventura College of Law Student Bar Association.
