I had called to get a consultation regarding my landlord/tenant issue. Jaime was completely dismissive of all my claims, encouraged me to take a lowball offer and "take the L." After he referred to me as "one of those guys" I knew he wasn't he lawyer for me. Completely unprofessional
I used him 14 years ago but I will never forget his name, or him. I strongly advise anyone in need of real property representation to stay clear of him. I was in an extreme depression after caring for my dying mother for the previous year and did not cope with the loss. My bills and all normal life activities had stopped. My home went into foreclosure. I was distraught and a single mother. My late "husband" left my young son money in trust with me. When Jamie asked if I had the money to pay to get out of foreclosure, I told him that I had access to my son's trust fund. I was foolish, vulnerable and terrified I was going to lose my house. I expected him to act in my best interest. He turned on a dime and immediately called a meeting with the judge and bank attorneys and me. He put me in the room and told me to tell the judge what I had told him. Judgement was that I was to pay all fees and back mortgage with no regard that it wasn't mine to spend. My son was robbed of his inheritance.
I don’t know who answered the phone, but he deserves negative stars; in fact, he shouldn’t be employed at all. One of the rudest people who I’ve ever spoken to. He was sarcastic the entire time, plain mean and almost sounded vindictive as though something about my situation struck his personal nerve. At the end of the convo, with me still being completely polite having answered all of his sarcastic questions, he literally YELLED over and over. I politely again said “honestly, if you’re going to yell at me I want nothing to do with—-“ and he “slammed the phone down”. He sounded like he needed some psychiatric help + anger management.
