About Matthew Samuel Blumenthal

Matt is a passionate advocate committed to justice and empathy, dedicated to improving lives through his litigation and trial practice. He played a pivotal role in Lafferty v. Jones, where a group of Sandy Hook families and a first responder secured a $1.4 billion verdict against Alex Jones for spreading conspiracy theories about the Sandy Hook shooting. In his pro bono work, Matt served as a Fellow for the Rule of Law Clinic at Yale Law School, overseeing litigation on national security and democracy promotion, including submissions to the U.S. Supreme Court. A Yale Law School graduate, he clerked for Chief Judge Diane P. Wood of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Beyond law, Matt represents the 147th District in the Connecticut General Assembly, serving as Chair of the Government Administration and Elections Committee and Co-Chair of the Reproductive Rights Caucus.
