I have practiced law in Boulder, Colorado since 1990. and received my BA in English from Wesleyan University in 1981, and my JD from the Fleming Law School at the University of Colorado in 1987. My private practice currently focuses on mediation, domestic relations, dependency and neglect, family related criminal matters, and civil protection orders. Although I practice less frequently in these areas, I have an extensive background in civil litigation and criminal defense. I’ve also served as a Child Family Investigator on behalf of children in domestic relations cases, and as a Guardian Ad Litem in dependency and neglect cases.

Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Chris is just a good guy with a good heart and has a strong handle on the law. He represented me during my divorce that was a very difficult time in my life. He fought hard for me and my kids, even called the judge out on a law that the judge didn't get right. I walked away from the divorce with my head held high because of Chris. Recently I needed to change some things in the divorce decree and instead of charging me an arm and a leg, he helped me figure out how to do it myself and yesterday I just won the motion. While I'm absolutely paying Chris for his assistance, he was very humble about taking money from me. There's not another lawyer I would go to in Colorado for any type of family matters case other than him.
Chris Jeffers was selected by me over 10 years ago. I was referred his name and one other attorney who had zero chance after I met with Chris. I knew he had a gift for explaining to me how and why the system worked which I very much needed. I knew he would keep my daughters best interest in mind at all times. Chris has a passion for improving peoples lives in the ways that really matter the most while many other attorneys seem to only have a passion for billing their time and breaking the bank.
"If you’re in a situation fraught with conflict and emotion, complicated with children in the mix, I strongly suggest you work with Chris Jeffers. I started working with Chris over a year ago, and I continue to work with him today. His calm demeanor and grasp of the law is impressive. He has the ability to focus on what’s important and not get bogged down in extraneous issues, which often come up in my high conflict case." - Current Client
Chris was very professional and knowledgeable during a very difficult divorce. He is very intelligent and made sure I understood the process and the pros and cons of all decisions both from a relational and financial perspective. Despite his efforts to settle out of court, a couple of times we did end up in court and he said just the right thing to benefit our case. At times, the emotions ran high but he was calm and reassuring. He was great.
