    Representative Matters: In 2012, McKenzie successfully defended a corporate client who was under investigation for allegedly falsifying data for product that was sold to the government. After Mintz's thorough internal investigation
    aggressive advocacy, the government declined to pursue a case. In 2011, McKenzie successfully defended an executive of a well known institutional asset management fund who had been charged with securities fraud. After a multi-week trial, the judge found for McKenzie's client
    dismissed all charges brought by the SEC. The win was a rare trial victory against the SEC. In 2011, McKenzie secured the pre-trial dismissal of all federal drug charges for a client facing a 10-year statutory minimum. In 2009, McKenzie tried a federal cocaine distribution
    felon-in-possession case that resulted in the complete acquittal of her client after a week-long jury trial. In 2007, McKenzie successfully tried of one of Massachusetts' largest criminal health care fraud cases. McKenzie's client, a sales executive at a large, international pharmaceutical company,
    three other former employees were completely acquitted of any wrongdoing after a month-long trial. The long
    substantial government investigation into Medicaid fraud
    anti-kickback violations resulted in the pharmaceutical company pleading guilty
    settling for over $700 million. From 2003 to 2009, McKenzie represented the former CFO of a Fortune 500 company in a multi-faceted SEC investigation, enforcement action, arbitration,
    criminal investigation. Ultimately, the client prevailed with no criminal charges
    a very favorable settlement with the SEC. In 2003, McKenzie assisted with one of the largest health care fraud trials in United States history, which yielded the full acquittal of a pharmaceutical sales executive accused of, among other things, violating the federal anti-kickback statute
    conspiracy. This national, multi-year government investigation into Medicare fraud allegations yielded millions of documents, hundreds of potential witnesses,
    culminated in a federal jury trial that lasted three months.
