About Jeffrey Thorn

Jeffrey Thorn (known as "Jeff") graduated from Yale College in 1999 and Harvard Law School in 2006. He is admitted to the Massachusetts and New York bars and to the federal courts for the District of Massachusetts, the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Third Circuit. From 1999 to 2001, Jeff served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Namangan, Uzbekistan, and later served as projects coordinator for a nonprofit focused on international landmine awareness and clearance. He has authored or co‑authored chapters on Judgment in the Massachusetts Superior Court Civil Practice Manual and on Intentional Torts in the Massachusetts Tort Law Manual, and has written on aspects of federal deception law with the National Consumer Law Center.

Jeff Thorn is a one-of-a-kind lawyer. He is extremely intelligent, professional, ethical, and kind. He advocates fiercely and brings justice for his clients. Jeff did not hesitate to advocate for us and fight for justice as we were clearly being taken advantage of. We will always be grateful for having had the opportunity to meet Jeff and for his invaluable support and legal expertise during a very difficult period of our lives. Without his support, we would have continued to be taken advantage of and wrongly blamed for a situation we ended up in through no fault of our own while the other party continued to carry on with illegal activities. With Jeff’s kind support and expert guidance we were able to start rebuilding our lives after Jeff helped get us our money back and wrapped up a long ordeal that had caused much mental and physical anguish. Words cannot express how wonderful Jeff Thorn is as a lawyer and human. Anyone who works with him will be in the best of hands.

Look no further if you’re in need of a stand-up attorney and advocate—Jeff is awesome! I retained Jeff through his solo practice and he took my consumer protections case on a contingency basis. Jeff was extremely fair rate-wise. Throughout my short time working with Jeff, he was professional, reliable, responsive, efficient, patient, trustworthy, and kind. I feel ridiculous shoving seven adjectives into one sentence, but Jeff deserves every one of them. I will definitely reach out to Jeff’s practice in the future!

Hired Attorney

Jeff represented me, for free, in a crazy dispute with a credit card company concerning my account. Unlike the company, he was helpful, understanding, and straightforward. Where he didn't know the answer to some of my questions he said that. Best of all, even though it took forever, we eventually got all claims against me dismissed.. I highly recommend.

Jeff helped me solely as a friend who thought he could help a friend in need who was being denied his due rights from a corporation because of some technicality and wording in the law. Although I offered payment for his services, Jeff felt in his heart that payment was not warranted in this situation, and only asked that I keep in touch. Jeff Thorn is a man who lets his conscious be his guide, and I will forever be grateful that he was and still is a part of my life.
