Kenneth F. Tomko is a partner in Hinman, Howard & Kattell and is co-chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, primarily responsible for Residential Real Estate. He is also a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Oil and Gas, and Business Law Practice Groups. Ken primarily focuses his practice on all aspects of real estate transactions, representing buyers, sellers and lending institutions in both residential and commercial transactions. Ken’s practice also involves extensive work with title insurance companies; he has served as either agent or as examining counsel for some of the largest title insurers in the industry.
Ken also has extensive experience in counseling clients on all aspects of franchise law. He has represented franchisors in the formation of new franchises and development of existing franchises, as well as prospective franchisees looking to invest in franchised business opportunities.
Ken is a member of the Broome County, New York State and American Bar Associations, and is active in both the Real Property and Business Law committees. He is a frequent speaker on all aspects of real estate law to consumers, realtors and other professional organizations.
Ken is a lifelong resident of the Southern Tier, and has served on the Boards of numerous community organizations, such as the American Heart Association, Family and Children’s Society, and Boy Scouts of America. He also served on the Executive Board of the Good Shepherd Fairview Home, the Binghamton Country Club, and the Binghamton Club. He received an “AV” (Preeminent) peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
