Mr Pearson was our life saver. He took over my case that had been a 4 year long battle with only a few weeks to get everything done. He did above and beyond anything I could of expected. He is truly a God send.
I have been through several years of custody/divorce issues and have finally found relief to all of my legal issues with Mr. Josh Pearson as my representation and legal counsel. I spent thousands of dollars in and out of court and after hiring Josh, he not only took care of all of my issues in a expeditious manner but consistently kept me informed. He took action very swiftly but also refunded the remaining balance of my retainer immediately after all issues were settled.
Polite and friendly. Explained documents clearly. Worked quickly.
The firm of Miller and Pearson represented me successfully in forming a business partnership and then, in the course of conducting business successfully defended me in litigation related to that business. Mr. Miller was always timely in his response, professional in his counsel and authoritative in his representation. Miller and Pearson are our family's attorneys.
I can highly recommend Mike Miller without reservation. He vigorously represented me in a divorce and did so with excellent communication, prompt responses to my questions, and reasonable costs backed up by detailed statements. {para}I learned the hard way that not all attorneys are looking out for your best interests, but you can rest easy once Mike takes your case. You won't regret choosing him.
I have always found Michael Miller to be a caring and supportive attorney who works to fit the solution to clients' needs. His front office staff are also very helpful.
I acquired Josh's services almost 2 years ago for a custody case. I understood it was a long shot, but win or loose I expected him to be knowledgeable and give his best regardless of the outcome. Josh was very friendly and courteous on the phone leading up to the initialization of my case, but since paying my retainer he has became impossible to reach. Over the near 2 year span I have only spoke to Josh prior to my case, once just prior to a hearing and in once I received an email. I have been fooled into thinking the firm was waiting on response from opposing counsel when in truth the opposing counsel had no requirements in the case, which tells me I have slipped through the cracks. I have only received updates after requesting them, sometimes only after multiple attempts, and each email or phone call requesting an update has been billed. I believe Josh is a very young and green' attorney and because of that his rates are very reasonable. However, if I could go back and do this again I would have paid much more for an experienced attorney.
When I first hired Mr. Pearson, I already had a bad experience with another Bell County attorney and I was pleasantly surprised with the professionalism I was met with at this law office. In the beginning of my communication with his office, the experience was great. I received timely responses to all of my questions, I was given a clear amount I would most likely spend on the case, and I never went more than a few days without receiving an update from the paralegal on where my case stood. Slowly, the updates started to dwindle mainly because we were playing the waiting game. Then I received a phone call from Mandy to discuss the petition for my case. It included information which shouldn't have been in there and left out a lot of information I wanted included. I did have other things I thought of along the way I wanted to add so I didn't think this to be too big of a deal at that point in time. Then came the day prior to my court date. Up to this point, I have not spoken directly to Mr. Pearson. All of my dealings were with the paralegal, Mandy. Since I was going to court the following day, I was going to have my chance to speak with Mr. Pearson. Instead, I received a call from Mandy who told me I would have to pay another $1,000 if I wanted to follow through with the case, the following day. While I wish I had money like that floating around, I do not. I was told, many times, by Mandy that she had discussed that previously with me because it "is in her notes". But that conversation never took place. Not with me, anyway. She then told me Mr. Pearson had spoken with me about it but I quickly corrected her and told her I've never spoken to him about anything at all so that couldn't be the case either. Being military, I am not financially able, again, to change attorneys so, unfortunately, I will have to see this through to the end. I will have to wait until I can piece together the final $1,200 so they can set a new court date. If you want to have your hopes up with a relatively inexpensive case only to have it backfire the day prior to your hearing, this is the place to go. You will get excellent responses in a timely manner but fees will be withheld from you until the last second. This would have been a much better experience if 1) the paralegal disclosed all fees when I initially spoke to her, 2) the paralegal would have acknowledged her mistake, apologized for it and developed a plan to move forward or 3) I would have done more research prior to settling for what I though was a fantastic deal. Word of advice, don't settle for this.
Not once has my case been discussed between my lawyer and I. I've always had to deal with the gate keeper, aka the paralegal, who is about as smart as a box of rocks. She has single handed key managed to bungle my case and waste thousands of dollars. Upon multiple requests to try to speak to my lawyer, I was brushed aside saying that he was with a client? What am I?!? Erroneous charges and nothing to show at the 11th hour and now my court date is about to be cancelled because of $1200 needed.
