About Dwayne Douglas

I am committed to providing affordable, quality legal services in family law matters, such as divorce, child custody, child support, adoptions, contempt proceedings, and all other family law matters, here in Lake County, and throughout the Chicago area. My practice is primarily concentrated in family law matters and appeals. I am the former President of the Jefferson Inn of Court, a Lake County organization committed to professionalism and ethics, and the former Vice-Chair and Chair of the Family Law Committee of the Lake County Bar Association. I have frequently written and spoken on new developments in the law. I am honored that I have been selected to the 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 Super Lawyers lists. These lists recognize no more than 5% of the attorneys in the State of Illinois. My office is in Lake Bluff, and I serve the Moraine Township government as a Township Trustee. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
