The inheritance is property of the Chapter 13 estate. You may use the funds (must use) to pay off creditors unless the Trustee or the Court determine that some or all of the proceeds are exempt. There are few reasons why the inheritance would be exempt and all of it is usually treated as disposable income that must be paid into the Plan. There are exceptions like inherited IRA's.

You should consult with a bankruptcy attorney as to the advisability of filing chapter 7. Ask whether your assets are exempt, that is, protected from creditors. You are allowed a specified amount of value of your home as a homestead, depending on your age and number of dependents. Bankruptcy sounds like a good option for you, I would recommend that you put the trailer on the 5 acres you own and move into it before you file the bankruptcy. That way, the trailer and five acres are covered by your homestead exemption?
