How long do I have to collect money from the sale of a home?

It depends on the agreement you have with your boyfriend, and whether there is any written evidence of such agreement. In general oral contracts are enforceable for 2 years and written ones for 4 years. So if the agreement was made orally without any evidence in writing, then you van go to the court to enforce it within 2 years. If written then you have longer time (4 years). The time is calculated from the day the agreement was made.

The filing fee in Chapter 7 is $306. You can apply to have it waived, but it cannot be waived if you have hired an attorney to represent you.
