Why can’t I get an installment only a payday loan if my chapter 7 was just discharged?

Answered by attorney Dorothy G. Bunce (Unclaimed Profile)

Payday lending is a highly regulated business. Apparently in your state, payday lenders cannot make installment loans. So the answer is you will NEVER be able to take out a payday loan and make installment payments on it unless the legislature changes the law.

If I filled bankruptcy in the past how long do I have to wait before I can file again?

Answered by attorney Kevin W. Bruning (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Bruning & Associates, P.C.
You have to wait 8 years between bankruptcies. You should double-check to ensure the exact date when your previous bankruptcy was filed, and wait to file until it has been 8 years from that date.
