What if I can't pay a judgment on a credit card debt, how can I get out of it, can I file bankruptcy, can I dispute it?

The creditors unfortunately are not bound by divorce decrees or separation agreements. If your name was on the debts including as a cosigner or co-debtor, you would still owe on the debt. You may want to consider filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy, you could then have this unsecured debt discharged in the Chapter 7 (it does not matter if a judgment against you has been entered or not).

What happens with reposession after Chapter 13 bankruptcy?

Diane L Drain
Answered by attorney Diane L Drain (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of D. L. Drain, P.A.
I hope you are presented by an attorney. If so, please call them for advice. If not, you should be fine so long as you listed both the debt and the asset in your schedules. Most likely you will need to modify your plan, assuming it is confirmed. If it is not confirmed you will need to amend it. Show that you intent is to surrender the vehicle.

Can I be sued from a landlord while going through a chapter 7 bankruptcy?

Answered by attorney Edward M Olson (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Olson Law Firm
Yes, your landlord can evict you even while you are in bankruptcy. Yes, the landlord is entitled to collect the full amount of the rent you agreed to pay, even if you later file for bankruptcy. You cannot change the contract with the landlord by filing bankruptcy. You must pay the rent or move out.
