How can I get the discharged lien removed?

Answered by attorney Paul Norwood Jonas Ross (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Paul N. J. Ross Law, PLLC
As a rule of thumb, voluntary liens are not removed. While your personal liability was discharged on the note against the home, the lien against the property remains until it is paid in full.

Can I file bankruptcy even though I did not file a tax return for 2007?

Answered by attorney Steven Harry Meyer (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Steven H. Meyer, P.A.
You should file your tax returns for 2007 and every other year too, if you have not already done so. You can file for bankruptcy, but the bankruptcy trustee may require you to complete your tax returns before ending your bankruptcy case. You should definitely contact an attorney who is experienced in handling bankruptcy matters.

If my sister filed a loan due to me on a chapter 13, may I include 3 years of interest on my claim?

You can claim only the amount which is owed on the date she filed bankruptcy. So all the interest which was earned before the filing would be included but nothing for interest after the filing.
