Will my bankruptcy effect my life insurance policies?

It depends on your state. If your life insurance policies are exempt under your state law, then no bankruptcy will not affect them.

My bankruptcy case is being dismissed for not completing the pre-petition course how can I stop this from happening?

As far as I know, you have to start all over again after your 7 is dismissed. The pre-filing counseling requirement must be met before the case is filed. I do not believe the Court has any choice on this, statutory requirement, must be completed before filing.

What if the bank sells house after borrower files bankruptcy?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Steven Jed Alpers (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Steven J. Alpers, A Professional Corporation
I am assuming that the bank got the money. If they had knowledge of the bankruptcy they could not sell. If they did not have knowledge, because they were not notified in time, then the sale should be good and you should have title. The bankruptcy trustee would have to take actions to set aside the sale which would entitle you to get your money back.
