What happens if my chapter 7 bankruptcy was changed to a chapter 13?

I assume your bankruptcy has not been filed. You do now have to list both incomes, though your wife may have a marital deduction in the means test if has income not used for your household. You need to consult an attorney to review whether any of your wife's income can be excluded from applying to you.

Can I convert from chapter 13 to chapter 7 bankruptcy?

Answered by attorney Stuart M. Nachbar
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of Stuart M. Nachbar, P.C.
You can convert from a Chapter 13 to a Chapter 7. Perhaps, a showing of hardship and changed circumstances would be better, and a lower trustee payment, especially as you are over halfway done. You should speak to your Bankruptcy Attorney.
